New Comparison Site Launches But This One Has A Twist

A new comparison site has launched this month which allows landlords to list their properties for free and letting agents to put bids in to become the prime marketer of the properties. The website, known as netanagent.com, was developed with the main aim of levelling the playing field in terms of letting agent fees and the services they provide for the prices they charge. It is also hoped that smaller, independent letting agents will see more business come their way as a result of their bids.

Managing director of netanagent.com, Alex Thorpe, said in a recent interview “netanagent.com will turn the property selling or letting process on its head, and we’re hoping that it will really stir up competition in the market. Our research shows that consumers aren’t fully aware what they are being charged by agents or what to expect for their money. This can cause a breakdown in the relationship right from the start. We anticipate that the whole industry will benefit from this open and transparent process, and go some way to improving standards across the board”

He continued “The findings of a recent survey showed that consumers aren’t just interested in getting the best price for their property, or paying the lowest fees, and we’ve responded to that need by allowing agents to demonstrate the whole package offered to the property owner.”
